Injuries at the office
Are you injured after a mishap in your office? Just like any other workplace, injuries occur from mistakes that could be avoided. When objects are left out, workers can trip over them. If furniture that is not well-maintained, electrical cords are frayed or exposed, and even environmental  issues such as poor ventilation, bad lighting, and air quality, is poor; workers will find themselves in an injury situation. American workers continue to endure long work weeks, and increasing technology means that much of that time spent inside an office environment. For the average worker, knowing how to avoid office injuries is a growing concern.

Be wary while lifting
Lifting even small loads such as stacks of files, reams of computer paper, computer monitors, and a host of office equipment can lead to injury if one does not know how to lift things properly. Your back, neck, and shoulders are all susceptible to lifting injuries. Before you decide to lift anything, regardless of its size, check to make sure that it is not too heavy for you. Whenever you need to lift something, check its weight to see if you will need help. Lift the item by squatting toward the floor and then using your legs and not your back. In order to set something down, use your legs the same way, not your back.
